Company Overview
Seoeun Plant Tech Co., Ltd. is a plant engineering company that has specialized in pressure vessel design and import pressure vessel certification and inspection-agency services for approximately 28 years since its founding in 1998. Headquartered in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, we have completed projects for clients across a wide range of industries, including petrochemicals, fine chemicals, pharma, bio, food, new materials, energy and secondary batteries.
We began as an engineering firm focused primarily on basic and detailed design, then progressively expanded our scope of business — domestic pressure vessel certification inspection-agency services (2011), classification society certification agency (2013), KOSHA and overseas certification (2014), and Korea Energy Agency (KEA) import pressure vessel inspection-agency services (2017). Today, we stand as a total plant engineering partner spanning design, fabrication and certification.
Core Business Areas
1. Import Pressure Vessel Certification & Inspection Agency
Seoeun Plant Tech's core strength is import pressure vessel certification inspection-agency services. Pressure vessels manufactured overseas and imported into Korea must, by law, pass inspection by the relevant certification body. This process is complex and demands specialized expertise — a challenge for many companies.
Seoeun Plant Tech provides a complete one-stop agency service covering code-compliant drawing and calculation preparation → application and filing → comment response → fabrication-inspection preparation and guidance → issuance of the approved certificate. Our strength lies in handling every step quickly and accurately so you never miss your delivery window.
Inspection bodies covered by our agency services: Korea Energy Agency (KEA) · Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) · Korea Gas Safety Corporation (KGS) · Fire Services Act certification
Types of Inspection by Pressure Vessel Category
Inspections for import pressure vessels take place at various stages — from the fabrication stage prior to installation through to ongoing operation.
- Pressure Vessel Installation Inspection: Code-compliant drawing and calculation review and on-site verification before a vessel is installed in Korea. For imported equipment in particular, confirming compliance with domestic codes is essential.
- Pressure Vessel Open Inspection: A periodic inspection, performed after a set operating period, in which the vessel interior is opened to directly check for corrosion, damage or cracking. Application and inspection within the legally mandated cycle are required.
- Pressure Vessel In-Service Inspection: For specialized vessels where an open inspection is impractical, this inspection evaluates integrity through non-destructive testing and other methods while the vessel remains in operation, following the procedures of KEA, KOSHA and KGS respectively.
Seoeun Plant Tech provides full agency support for all three inspection types — from document preparation through to on-site attendance.
Equipment Covered by Our Inspection-Agency Services
We provide import inspection-agency services for a wide range of equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, autoclaves, sterilizers, retorts, agitators, extractors, evaporators, dyeing machines, bioreactors and fermenters.
2. Pressure Vessel Design & Fabrication
Building on the pressure vessel design expertise we have built up since our founding, Seoeun Plant Tech provides total solutions from design through fabrication for a wide range of pressure vessels, including reactors, drums, storage tanks, columns, heat exchangers and agitators.
- Optimized design based on international codes including ASME SEC.VIII Div.1/2, EN13445, KS B 6750/6751, JIS B 8265/8266 and GB150
- HTRI-based heat exchanger thermal-performance analysis and strength calculation
- Precise structural analysis and stress-distribution simulation using finite element analysis (FEA)
- Process flow diagram (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development, plus process optimization design
3. Pilot Plant & Testbed
In 2020, we introduced Korea's first testbed concept, and we continue to design and build custom pilot plants for R&D and scale-up. In 2025, we were officially recognized as a dedicated R&D department by the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA), confirming our R&D capabilities.
Certification Track Record & Capabilities
Seoeun Plant Tech works in close partnership with major certification bodies in Korea and abroad to provide clients with the optimal certification solution.
| Code | Organization | Core Service |
|---|---|---|
| KEA | Korea Energy Agency | Import inspection-agency certification for energy-related pressure vessels |
| KOSHA | Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency | Full agency service for industrial pressure vessel safety certification |
| KGS | Korea Gas Safety Corporation | Safety inspection certification for high-pressure gas vessels and equipment |
| ASME | American Society of Mechanical Engineers | Agency service for obtaining U / UM Stamp certification |
| CE-PED | European Pressure Equipment Directive | 2014/68/EU conformity certification consulting |
| KR · DNV · LR · ABS | Korean, Norwegian, British and American classification societies | Classification society pressure vessel design-certification inspection agency |
| TÜV · DOSH | Germany · Malaysia | Local overseas certification consulting and agency services |
Seoeun Plant Tech holds numerous first-ever certifications from the Korea Energy Agency (KEA) — inspection numbers ending in 00001 — proof of our position as an industry leader. Each represents the very first certification obtained for a given year, country and weld/structure classification, reflecting our high level of trust and expertise.
Import Pressure Vessel Track Record by Country of Origin
Seoeun Plant Tech has a track record of certification and inspection-agency services for pressure vessels imported from 69 countries worldwide. Major countries of origin include China (CN), Japan (JP), the United States (US), India (IN), France (FR), Czechia (CZ), the Netherlands (NL) and Germany (DE), along with experience handling equipment manufactured in more than 61 other countries.
For pressure vessels manufactured in China, we review conformity with GB 150 and JB 4732; for European-made equipment, we assess the equivalence between CE-PED 2014/68/EU and domestic Korean codes; and for Japanese-made equipment, we analyze conformity with JIS B 8265/8266 — all in-house — to identify the optimal certification path in Korea.
Capabilities & Software
Seoeun Plant Tech actively leverages in-house developed programs alongside globally recognized standard software to deliver accurate and prompt service to our clients.
- MECAL V3.0: An in-house developed ASME code-based strength-calculation program (released 2005) — the only program of its kind for domestic design, with a next-generation version currently under development.
- COMPRESS: Industry-standard ASME code-based pressure vessel design and calculation software
- HTRI: Heat exchanger thermal-performance analysis and strength calculation
- MIDAS GEN: Stress analysis (FEA) for structures with unusual geometries
- JIS Strength-Calculation Program: An in-house developed program based on JIS B8265–8267 (applied since 2018)
In particular, having declared 2026 as "the first year of patent-driven management," we currently have two patent applications in progress and are actively reviewing additional applications as part of our continued investment in strengthening our technology IP.

Why Choose Seoeun Plant Tech
Import pressure vessel certification is not simply a matter of submitting paperwork. The entire process — analyzing the technical equivalence between domestic and overseas manufacturing codes, understanding each inspection body's requirements, responding to reviewer comments, and providing on-site guidance during fabrication inspection — demands a high level of technical expertise.
Seoeun Plant Tech carries out this entire process based on our own in-house design and calculation capabilities. Because our own engineers review drawings and prepare calculations directly — without relying on outside contractors — we deliver fast turnaround and a high pass rate.
